Young Artists Scholarships
The Prescott-Russell ARTour Committee wishes to encourage young people from the region who are talented in visual arts, and will be offering three $500 scholarships to deserving students.

Who is eligible for the Young Artists Scholarships ?
Grade 12 students studying and/or residing in Prescott-Russell, who will be registering to a full-time program in visual arts or graphic arts at the post-secondary level (college or university) in September 2012 may apply for the Young Artists Scholarships.
What must the candidates submit?
- Print and complete the PDF Registration Form above. Send the questionnaire in with your submission to the address below.
- You must present five (5) original works of art in the medium of your choice: drawing, painting, sculpture, photography (no electronic modifications) or any other form of visual arts. For projects in three dimensions (i.e. sculpture), please present different points of view. No copy or reproduction of another artist’s work will be accepted.

*The photographs of your five (5) art pieces must be saved on a CD in JPEG format (minimum 300 dpi), minimum size 4 x 5 inches This will ensure high quality pictures for our publicity material.
- You must include a letter of recommendation from a teacher or someone who knows your artwork and supports your scholarship application.
Deadline:
Your application must be mailed in before 4 p.m. on Friday, April 30, 2012.

Moonlight

A jury of ARTour members or collaborators will select the scholarships recipients. The three finalists will be informed by May 31, 2012 . However, they will receive the bursary only upon receipt by the ARTour Committee of a proof of payment of their 2012-2013 tuition fees.
The ARTour Committee also recommends that the scholarship recipients be available during the ARTour weekend on September 29 and 30, 2012. The deserving young artists will be matched with a participating artist and will be invited to exhibit their work on ARTour weekend and also have their artwork featured on the ARTour website.
